wedding invite
After getting engaged, Deb and I resolved to avoid playing into the wedding industrial complex any more than absolutely necessary. We booked a barn, bought our own booze, and made a deal: I would make the invites, and she would make the thank you cards.
Then I got hit with an avalanche of work.
What followed was a month of burning the midnight oil while hunched over a makeshift art board with watercolors, reference photos, and podcasts. Finally, I scanned our portraits, added my talented friend Mark Ramdarass’s calligraphy, and sent them off. As a wedding gift for my new bride in anticipation of the amount of work the thank you card would be, I got her an iPad Pro.
